Great Christian Resources
Christian Books and Resources to Consider!
Great Bibles
The MacArthur Study Bible (NKJV) has wonderful notes and is great to read. Several people have said that the notes are so relevant that they often answer the very questions being asked about a verse during Bible classs. The notes clarify and go to the heart of understanding the passages. This is highly recommended for study and devotional reading.
Personal Witness
Corrie ten Boom is a wonderful account of the light of faith in pitch black darkness. I hesitated to read it for a long time because I did not want to endure reading about the brutality of the Nazis in the death camps. When I finally did read The Hiding Place, I found that it did not dwell on the brutality, but focused on the strength that Christ can deliver in what otherwise would be a totally hopeless situation. It is a wonderful account by a remakrable woman. The Hiding Place DVD is also excellent.
Save Me from Myself: How I Found God, Quit Korn, Kicked Drugs, and Lived to Tell My Story by Brian Welch.
This book is by a former member of KORN and tells of a life that was in serious trouble that recovered through Christ. We used it in our church small group.
